Neither of them felt like going out that night. They would rather stay home, but their persistent friends were encouraging enough to have them join in the fun at Punch Bowl Social. That’s where they met. On a night that didn’t almost happen for either of them, they both said yes to friends and met their future spouse. Liz gave Ben her number that night and they had their first date that same week.
We started their Zilker Botanical Gardens engagement session in the Hartman Prehistoric garden. This section has tons of palms and ferns with this beautiful waterfall! Random fact: it even has a dinosaur there!
When it came time to propose, Ben took Liz to his Alma Mater. When he told her to “wear something nice” – she knew that their afternoon would be a special one. After hiding the engagement ring in the apartment successfully for almost two months, Ben got down on one knee and asked Liz to be his wife. She said yes! If you’re wondering where he kept the ring a secret so she had no chance of finding it: it was in a box of bullets.
Ben and Liz are getting married next Fall at The Milestone in Georgetown. They flew all the way to Austin for their Zilker Botanical Gardens engagement photos from Pennsylvania, where they currently live. I’m so glad they were willing to make the trip to capture this special time in their life together!
These two laugh so easily together. After their Zilker Botanical Gardens engagement photos, they were going out to celebrate their dating anniversary!
Ben and Liz – thank you so much for making the trek down to Austin for your Zilker Botanical Gardens engagement photos! I had so much fun with y’all and am glad we timed your session just perfectly! Our time together has me that much more excited for y’all’s big day next Fall!
